Driving Sustainability Action Across Industries

The summit aims to ignite action-oriented conversations on sustainable business practices, aligning Gujarat’s industrial landscape with India’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2070, as outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. With Gujarat being one of India’s most industrially advanced states, the summit will focus on mobilizing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) — a critical segment that forms the backbone of the state’s economy — towards adopting low-carbon and environmentally responsible business models.

Highlighting the summit’s significance, GCCI President Shri Sandeep Engineer said,
“The GCCI Gujarat Sustainability Summit 2025 marks a transformative milestone in embedding sustainability as a core business principle. This platform will bridge knowledge gaps, foster collaboration, and empower businesses — especially MSMEs — to become future-ready in an increasingly eco-conscious global economy.”

Global Collaboration & Knowledge Exchange

The one-day summit will feature over 30 thought leaders and experts from India and across the globe, including sustainability heads from conglomerates like the Adani Group and Arvind Group. International knowledge partners from the United Kingdom, Denmark, and the Netherlands will share global best practices, while academic institutions such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad University, and Gujarat Technological University (GTU) will contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.

GCCI Vice President Shri Apurva Shah emphasized the summit’s role in accelerating Gujarat’s sustainability journey, stating,“The summit is a path-breaking initiative to catalyze sustainable growth across industries. It is imperative to empower MSMEs with knowledge, tools, and collaborative opportunities to thrive in the global green economy.”

Key Focus Areas of Gujarat Sustainability Summit 2025

The summit’s agenda will address pressing sustainability themes, including:

  • Vision for a Sustainable Gujarat and Pathways to Net-Zero 2070
  • Global sustainability trends and implications for Indian businesses
  • Transitioning the real estate sector to profitable sustainability
  • Building climate resilience in MSMEs
  • The future of green policy in India

Commitment to Operational Net Zero

Leading by example, the GCCI Gujarat Sustainability Summit 2025 will be hosted as an Operational Net Zero event. Every aspect — from logistics to participant travel — will be mapped, measured, and optimized to minimize carbon impact, reinforcing the event’s commitment to sustainability in action.

A Pivotal Step for Gujarat’s Green Future

As Gujarat aims to position itself as a model for sustainable industrial development, the GCCI Gujarat Sustainability Summit 2025 is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the state’s green transition. By creating a collaborative platform for knowledge exchange, the summit seeks to empower businesses with practical strategies to navigate the evolving sustainability landscape.

The event is open to industry stakeholders, MSMEs, policymakers, academic institutions, and sustainability enthusiasts.
